Become a Cultivator
Become a Cultivator.
Cultivator AI is an AI lab in Eindhoven. We build agentic harnesses for companies, measure what changes, and publish what we find. The people who do that are called Cultivators. A small team, a high bar, and we hire on what you can build, not on a resume.

The work
Forward deployed, in the room where the work happens.
Not a desk job. You sit with the people who run a company, learn how their work really flows, and build the agents that take one process off them. You ship on their own servers, watch it run, and close the loop. Trellis is the harness you build on; the craft is turning one messy real process into a swarm that holds up in production.
Embedded, not remote
Real days on site, in Brainport and beyond. The knowledge you need is rarely written down.
End to end
You scope it, build it, deploy it, and own whether it works. Short loops, no hand-off to a delivery department.
On our own harness
You build on Trellis, the system we run our own company on. You extend it, not just use it.

R&D on our own AI systems
You work on the harness we run the company on, and on the factory that builds the next one. Real systems, in production, with a person deciding at every step that matters.
What you do
- Take one bounded piece of Trellis or the factory and make it measurably better.
- Measure what changes and write it up so it can be published on the lab page.
- Sit in the weekly loop with the founder; your work ships or it does not, and you see which.

Adoption and business development
How does a company with its own processes take a harness in? Who decides, what is the first touch, what evidence does a decision-maker ask for? You research it on the first builds and write it down.
What you do
- Turn the elicitation of a build into an inputs list the next company can start from.
- Map what evidence a decision-maker wants before, during and after a thirty-day experiment.
- Help the lab publish what it learns. You do not call prospects: agents draft, the founder sends.

Cultivator
A Cultivator sets up a harness at a company as a forward deployed engineer, or runs the swarm that keeps it going. There is no open headcount today; we meet the people whose swarm convinces us.
What you do
- Sit with the people who do the work and turn one real process into agents that hold up in production.
- Ship on the company's own servers, watch it run, and close the loop.
- Build on Trellis and extend it, not just use it.
Who we look for
People who ship, and like people.
You are as comfortable in a codebase as across the table from a planner who has done the job for twenty years. You would rather build a rough thing that runs this week than a perfect thing next quarter. You care that it is sovereign: the company owns what you build. Dutch is a real advantage for the work at companies, not a requirement for the engineering.

Why we hire this way
Build a swarm, not a CV.
You will never win on credentials alone, because someone always has the better school or the longer resume. So skip that game, and remove every unknown you can before the first call.
A resume
asks us to imagine what you might do.
A swarm
shows how you think, whether you take initiative, and what you can actually build. Made before anyone asked, it sends every signal at once.
How to apply
Show us a swarm.
No cover letter. Build a small swarm, a few agents doing one real task together, and show us how it works and why you built it that way. We look at what you made, not where you worked. The ones with the most potential we talk to first.
The upload platform is not open yet. Until then, email us a link to your swarm (a repo, a video, a live demo) and a line on how it works.
